Department of Mechanical Engineering in Agro Machinery & Mechanization-Overview
Advanced technologies in agricultural machinery and mechanization, precision farming systems, sustainable solutions based on agricultural machinery to improve productivity, reduce energy consumption, and support smallholder farming systems.
Overview
This department conducts research and technology development to advance agricultural machinery and mechanization solutions for sustainable agricultural production. The department focuses on identifying, developing, and optimizing machinery for crop-oriented agricultural systems, with particular emphasis on smallholder farming, energy efficiency, advanced technologies and precision agriculture. Of course, the department also has sufficient experience to cooperate in the field of large-scale machinery, industrial mechanized agriculture linked with biosystems and mechanical engineering.
Aligned with the Seventh National Development Plan (2023–2028), the department's research program directly supports the main priorities including reducing energy consumption in agriculture, development of agricultural machinery, and improving mechanized cropping systems. The department collaborates with industrial, governmental, non-governmental and international partners to deliver innovative solutions that enhance agricultural productivity and sustainability by engineering methods.
